The Learning Hub
Educate. Create. Act.

A powerful, new creative space for teachers and students, our hub features an array of resources and activities to help teachers and students learn about human rights, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and how to use the arts and media to tell stories that inspire action, solutions, and positive change.

Get inspired by what young people are doing and join us in our mission to make a difference in the world! Check out our lessons, featured projects, the student showcase, and our new Creative Visions Classroom initiative with Discovery Education.

Creative Changemakers, formerly known as Rock Your World, includes lessons and resources that help students build confidence in their ability to make positive changes in their communities and to become well-informed, engaged citizens. Flexible, free, and fully aligned with Common Core and SEL Standards, Creative Changemakers helps students think critically and act creatively.

Calls to Action

Creative Visions has partnered with InnerView to ignite creative expression in our youth. The initiative calls on young people to express their views on global issues through creative endeavors.

FEB 15, 2025 - MAR 15, 2025   Mental Health Poetry Project

Creative Visions invites students to use poetry—whether written or spoken—to express what mental health and well-being mean to them.

This Call to Action is all about sharing experiences, emotions, coping strategies, and the things that keep students strong.

Through reflection, creative writing, and performance, they will create a powerful piece that connects with others and shows off their unique voices.

This is their space to get real, get creative, and make something meaningful.

After viewing the prompt, students should submit a completed poem to InnerView and the #CreateConnectCare campaign to join the movement for youth mental health awareness.

Spotlights

Every month, we use our platform to shine a light on remarkable students and teachers with a powerful story to share from the forefront of learning and change.

Featured Student

Meet Creative Changemaker Kirby

(12th Grade)

"As a student, CreativeVisions has greatly impacted the way I can implement creativity into my life, both personally and in my learning. Thanks to CreativeVisions, I’ve realized that change-making isn’t a linear experience, and there are many ways that one can make a difference in their community. Seeing how I can express my activism in a creative way has inspired me to participate more in my community, and make my voice heard. Young people have a unique voice that needs to be nurtured; thank you CreativeVisions for nurturing such voices!"

Featured Teacher

Meet Nationally Board Certified, John Marshall High School Teacher, Carrie Snyder Renfro

"#CreateConnectCare provides time for self-expression that can be easily integrated into an academic assessment as well. It benefits teachers by giving them a window and insight into student thoughts and understanding. I often find more value in their creative expressions than their scholastic writing. Words can be copied, but creativity tends to reflect the true nature of my students. I notice that many students are most thoughtful and reflective during the process of creative expression. Selfishly, it brings me joy to watch them create."

Featured Lesson

These Are the Changemakers: Film

(Module 1, Lesson 7)

As a means of building students’ readiness for developing their own creative action projects, this lesson focuses students’ attention on successful changemakers who use film to address issues and create impact in their communities and the world at large.
